Throwback Thursday: Hiking in Old Forge: July 14, 2014

With Ceara gone on her mission trip to Montana, and my parents in Syracuse for the week, I decided to take them up to Old Forge to introduce them to the Adirondacks and guide them along some of the hikes I did when I first arrived in the area.

Our first hike was the popular trail up Bald Mountain to the fire tower.  We arrived at Bald Mountain a little after 10AM.  The weather was gorgeous for our hike, and the view of the Fulton Chain of lakes to the east was stunning.  Mom took her time getting to the top.  Kate and I didn’t mind the wait and made a beeline to the tower.

Along with Bald Mount, we hiked Rocky Mountain and along the Vista trail on Sis and Bubb Lakes.
